[:://surrender-all]: The Whitewashed Khan? →
velmalenderyou:
therealerice:
Still reeling from the epicness that is Star Trek Into Darkness, I went ahead and searched for tags for #Khan expecting a bunch of Benedict Cumberbatch appreciation posts. Boy, was I wrong.
Apparently, there are many people who are in an uproar that Benedict Cumberbatch portrayed Khan…
Yeah I mean no-one complained when Samuel L. Jackson was cast as Nick Fury...

More Trek spoilers, an opinion about something…

Cumberbatch wouldn’t have been my choice to play that particular character, but what jolted me more than the casting was the dialogue they gave him. So far removed from the original version. Maybe they didn’t feel that the poetic, melodramatic style would sit well with modern audiences but I missed all those...

I Loved Star Trek: Into Darkness...
…but just one small note to the script writers, THAT’S NOT HOW COLD FUSION theoretically WORKS!!
Spock’s interpretation of the Prime Directive was also incorrect but that’s a whole other discussion.
There’s my science gripe for the day. Now back to admiring Kirk and McCoy in those delightful wetsuits.

Bogglebert Crumplebrush is in The Times magazine.
He is wearing Moriarty’s tie.
This is not okay.
THIS IS NOT OKAY!
Reblogging this for the best interpretation of Benedict’s name. Ever.

BLIP I FELL IN TO RIPPER STREET FEELS AGAIN!...
jabberwocky092:
Also I read on tumblr that David Dawson may not be coming back for series two! :(
Awww, but Reid needs Best. The way their relationship developed over the 8 episodes was understated but brilliant. They started out in a state of mutual loathing but by episode 7 they had both realised that they could be useful to each other and that in many ways their jobs were complimentary.

OK FOLLOWERS NOW A VERY SERIOUS QUESTION
crazyandsexy:
Why don’t any of you have told me how amazing Ripper Street is?
I’m after episode two and I cannot! And Joe Gilgun was there!
Does it mean that completely accidentally I have a new fandom?
Have you got to the heartbreak yet? It pretty much doesn’t stop after episode 4.

– Jackson, Ripper Street (via saraharmony)
Best line from Ripper Street.

Having done a bit more research on the London Dockers strike of 1889 I realised I got my dates wrong for my Ripper Street fiction. I originally set it in the first week of September. However the dockers didn’t go back to work until the 16th of September, a scene which is recreated at the end of episode six. As the Hobbs story line doesn’t hit the fandom FEELS buffers until episode...

Reid and Faulkner were far worse to Drake over the series. Reid consistently takes advantage of Drake/s loyalty with no signs of appreciation or concern for the Sergeant’s well being. Faulkner pulled Drake into crime, lied to him, threatened his life and forced him to relive the most traumatic…

Marie likes to draw: Ship shaming post follow up. →
marielikestodraw:
Just as a side note for all the people calling me names about this and still sending me messages. I have expressed my extreme frustration at the Sterek shippers attacking others before, and made a post about them ship shaming the non Sterek shippers too…
I’m so thankful for the Ripper Street fandom right now. Where everything is teddy bears and rainbows....
inspector-reid asked: Thank you very much for the follow, Miss.

Havin' a pint - @suckmyyankeeballs
suckmyyankeeballs:
weightofamansheart:
After a long day at work Drake had a tendency to do one of two things. Some nights he’d retire back to his flat, make himself a little dinner, and allow himself to get lost in a good book. Other nights he preferred to take up a seat at the Brown Bear’s bar and have a pint while he listened to all of the chatter around him. There was something to say about...

Added two more parts to my Ripper Street story on AO3.
Captain Jackson makes an impressively drunken entrance and Reid confronts something horrible in the tool shed.

The internet is a wonderful thing
I now know which organs would be left in the thorax if you cut a body in half between the L5 and L6 vertabrae.
I have my reasons.
